Local Government Services
Comber Consultants provide Heritage Advisory Services to Local Government
including
the preparation of Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal Heritage Studies. These
services include:
- Heritage Advisory Services
Heritage Advisors assist Councillors, Council staff and members of the
public in the management of heritage assets. Comber Consultants provide
these services to the following Shire Councils:

Bourke,
Cobar,
Cowra,
Lachlan
and
Parkes Shire Councils.
- Heritage Advisory Services
The Heritage Office of the NSW Department of Planning provides funding
to Councils to undertake Heritage Studies of their Local Government Area
(LGA). Heritage Studies identify, assess and record places of heritage
significance associated with the history of an LGA and provide management
recommendations for their protection.

Non-Aboriginal Community based Heritage Studies include:
Gundagai Shire Heritage Study, Cobar Shire Heritage Study, Parkes Shire
Heritage Study,
Lachlan Shire Heritage Study, Review of Liverpool City Council’s Heritage
Study.

Aboriginal Heritage studies presently being completed:
Bourke Shire Aboriginal Heritage Study, Parkes Shire Aboriginal Heritage
Study.
